It appears "Chumbumchick" has moved back to Minnesota. She is online on ICQ right now and has not ICQ'd me. I admit I'm a little hurt. When did I do her wrong? But maybe I shouldn't always assume that she is the stronger of the two of us. Maybe I should ICQ her first...
Yes, I am admittedly abusing Pitas by using it as a sort of journal. Yes, I keep an online diary, but don't use it enough for it to come to mind whenever I need to express my emotions. Yes, I am acting weird right now. Who'm I kidding, I never say "yes" in real life! I always say yeah. Is that wrong? No! Anyhoo, I should really ICQ "Chum" and see what's up. Be nonchalant. Yeah, that's it.

"Luke and Leia were separated at birth, maybe you were too!"
Take the test and see which Star Wars character you are most like. This should be interesting!
The Results ("The other person" is my younger sister.) (Many questions were vague and I was kinda on the fence, so don't be surprised if the results are wacky.)
|
openness
High scorers tend to be original, creative, curious, complex; Low scorers tend to be conventional, down to earth, narrow interests, uncreative.
You: high (84 percentile)
Yoda -- This wise, philosophical, and thoughtful Jedi master challenges the establishment, encouraging his pupils to unlearn what they have learned and see the world in novel, creative ways.
The other person: low (24 percentile)
Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru -- Taking the role of Luke Skywalkers Guardians on Tatooine, they prefer to focus on pragmatic everyday needs of moisture farming. They are generally unwilling to entertain Luke's broader vision, protecting Luke from new ideas (even if they know some of them to be true!).
conscientious
High scorers tend to be reliable, well-organized, self-disciplined, careful; Low scorers tend to be disorganized, undependable, negligent.
You: neither high nor low (47 percentile)
Grand Moff Tarkin -- Is in the middle of conscientiousness because although he is usually a highly organized leader with a keen eye for detail, he occasionally misses a small but crucial detail (e.g., vulnerable exhaust ports on death stars).
The other person: very low (4 percentile)
Han Solo -- This disheveled and scruffy smuggler leads a reckless and haphazard life, with little respect for rules and procedures.
extraversion
High scorers tend to be sociable, friendly, fun loving, talkative; Low scorers tend to be introverted, reserved, inhibited, quiet.
You: low (22 percentile)
"Old Ben" Kenobi -- this crazy old hermit isn't seen much. He doesn't appear to desire company, keeping himself to himself.
The other person: very high (86 percentile)
Lando Calrissian -- An energetic, sociable man. He is adventure seeking, talkative, and socially skilled.
agreeableness
High scorers tend to be good natured, sympathetic, forgiving, courteous; Low scorers tend to be critical, rude, harsh, callous.
You: low (27 percentile)
Boba Fett -- A mean and menacing bounty hunter, known for his ruthlessness.
The other person: very low (10 percentile)
Emperor Palpatine -- An evil, power hungry tyrant, he is manipulative, evil, and ruthless.
neuroticism
High scorers tend to be nervous, high-strung, insecure, worrying; Low scorers tend to be calm, relaxed, secure, hardy.
You: high (60 percentile) and the other person: high (60 percentile)
Chewbacca -- This wookie belongs in the middle of Neuroticism because on one hand he is a strong and fearless individual but on the other hand he is excitable and easily upset (as shown by his reaction before C-3P0 suggested R2-D2 "let the wookie win").

<Quit Your Job>

"Regardless of how one defines selling one's soul, what could be more corrupt than to work longer hours at a meaningless job? Not only do you sell yourself to a machine that doesn't care about you, but you contribute to the decline of society as you do it." Interesting article. Written in 1995. It'd be interesting to know how the author is doing now. I'll look into it.
<Hayden Christensen (who?) plays Anakin/Darth>
Tuesday, May 9, 2000 at 03:13 p.m.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! They got some butt-ugly kid who looks like a Backstreet Boy to play Anakin in the next two Star Wars movies!!! *pouts* Christian Bale would've been so good in that part. I guess I should look on the bright side of it: at least it's not Leo DiCRAPio.
<Desert Island Movies>

The "Flick Filosopher" tells us what 5 movies she would have with her if stranded on a desert island. Very amusing. And I definitely agree with her choice of "The Princess Bride"!!!
