Nynaeve's Broken Towers
An awesome-looking tribute to Nynaeve, a character from Robert Jordan's "Wheel of Time" series (which you should read! they're excellent!) Alas, I have to add this site to my ever-growing "to visit ASAP" list. (See below.)

Just Me
Another promising site I don't have time to fully peruse! Augh! I'll visit soon, I hope! I'm very interested in reading her journal about her pregnancy.

Brain.Waves
A cool site I don't have time to fully visit tonight (it's 1:25 am, and I have to wake up in about 6 hours! eek!) So I'm "bookmarking" it here. Check out the library section!

The Reader's Ring
I want to join this ring! I'm an avid reader. I should put my reviews back up on my site. They just need a bit of reorganizing. And I have a two week winter break to do just that! YAY!!!

Non-Dithering Colors by Hue
Helpful for my fellow web artists out there. I'm currently brainstorming designs for my site's January layout. I have so many ideas that I decided to make a new one every month, for however long that lasts. I don't have a "past themes" page up on the current site, but as soon as I get ahold of my Tricky Chick disk, I will get those past images and put together a page. I love seeing past layouts! Don't you?

Fahrenheit / Celcius Converter
Handy for when you're talking to your Canadian friends :) Converts temperatures and km/miles with a click of the mouse, instead of plugging weird formulas into your calculator.

Robert Jordan's 'The Wheel of Time': Fantasy, epic-style
This awesome article from CNN takes a look at Robert Jordan and his "Wheel of Time" series (which I love). We get some great quotes from RJ, with a little peek into the future for WOT. If you haven't read this series, I highly recommend you do! But be warned, they are very addictive!

Tips for a Changing World
This is from the book Reviving Ophelia: Saving the Selves of Adolescent Girls, by Mary Pipher, Ph.D. (which is a very good book! I recommend it). The painting on the cover of the library's copy which I read was especially what attracted me to the book (besides having heard of it before). It's so beautiful, it looks like a photograph, but it has a more magical quality about it. It's a breath-taking work of art. (The artist is Sir John Everett Millais.)

Taxes
I don't know much about numbers, but here's what I think: if you've been wondering whether you should move to Japan, the numbers say GO AHEAD AND DO IT!

Star Wars Chicks' Humor
They make some good points here; for example: under "why it's better to be a SWC than a SWGuy," there is "In the real world, statistics are in our favor for finding a mate with a common obsession." Heehee! I guess you have to be a female fan of Star Wars to get any of this...

X-Men Animated Series
This site has synopses for every episode. Impressive. I don't even remember any storylines, I just remember watching this cartoon when I was younger. As I remember, it was quite a cool show. It was what gave me an interest in X-Men. I saw the movie Thursday night and it was quite good, although I wondered where Gambit was. Hopefully he'll be in the sequel. I didn't like the casting of Halle Berry as Storm -- she and Cyclops were such 1-dimensional characters, it was very disappointing. The movie was called "X-Men," not "Wolverine and Rogue." But whatever. I understand how the director had to tell his own story, instead of just taking one of the stories done in the comics or cartoon. And I really didn't think Anna Paquin was a good choice for Rogue, but she turned out well for the story the movie told, which was really about how Rogue and Wolverine came to be X-Men. She just didn't seem anything like the character in the comics or cartoon. This has turned into quite a review! I've been thinking of bringing the reviews back to my website; tell me if you miss them.

Ode to Friendship
I made this today, because I was bored and wanted to do some HTMLing and playing in Paint Shop Pro. The lyrics aren't mine, they're from an old song. Mickey, Donald, and Goofy sing this song in a cartoon I saw a long time ago; I think you can catch it on the "Friend Like Me" Disney Sing-a-long Songs video.

Booming Economy, My A**
As someone who is planning to major in English, I'm a little worried now... I'm quite sure I'd be no good as a Computer Science major. Sigh. I guess I have to just follow my heart, and live with my parents.
