Really easy! Just cut and paste easy! Awesome resource for us more design-oriented (as opposed to programming-oriented) techies.

These pitas are ... well ... fun! The design is gorgeous and the remarks witty. For what more could I ask?

Princess Bride comments
Wednesday, September 20, 2000 at 09:56 p.m.
Here some visitors to the Dread Pirate Roberts' Princess Bride Page add interesting info, confirming that S. Morgenstern and Florin and Guilder are all fictional. I am still a little ticked at how Goldman wrote all this false autobiographical stuff. Anyway, you can visit this site's FAQ for some more cool info.

The Princess Bride, a humorous fantasy book and movie
Wednesday, September 20, 2000 at 09:44 p.m.
Okay this seems to clear matters up a little more (see previous link). Now apparently William Goldman wrote it all, thinking he was being funny. Now I feel cheated and deceived -- what was all that about his teacher Miss Roginski, and his father reading to him when he was sick, and all the other touching things like that? He could've written a nice fairy tale without adding all these lies -- supposedly true autobiographical statements. I feel lied to. So I don't like William Goldman anymore (I always felt weird about him because of his horrible attitude toward his wife, Helen, as well as his son, Jason).

Well none of this makes sense if you haven't read the book! It's a nice book, but the movie's just as good as the book, so you can stick with the movie if you want.

Who wrote The Princess Bride?
Wednesday, September 20, 2000 at 09:40 p.m.
Now I'm even more confused.

I found this while looking for information on the country of "Florin," and I didn't find any. So now I'm doubting if S. Morgenstern was a real person... and then I come across this page, which seems to be written in a sarcastic tone, but I can't tell. Can someone help me out with the true story?

Skinny Dissin'
Thursday, September 14, 2000 at 04:29 p.m.
A naturally thin girl sounds off on people bad-mouthing skinny people. I can sympathize, because I have a close friend (Cortney) who is very thin, naturally. And even some of my own friends (not her friends) at school were making fun of her -- smirking and saying "eat a sandwich!" and snickering behind their hands -- and I was so angry at them. Obviously some people are concerned when they see someone extremely thin, but other people -- like my friends -- are merely jealous. And they should know better. But the ringleader (Cally) is often cruel and mean, so I didn't expect better from her. But I didn't explode because it was in the middle of class, and I think of that situation occasionally and I wish I would have turned around and said, "Shut up, Cally. You need to mind your own business and not concern yourself with anyone else's." I know that it was just jealousy in Cally's case, because she's a very jealous person who likes to make fun of people, and also she's not very slim at all. But she should learn to love her body and not criticize other people's. Would she like it if Cortney had said "Maybe you should stop eating sandwiches"? No, not at all, nobody would like that. Well this has turned out to be a rather journal-ish entry!

A former employee of a teen magazine (she can't say which) dishes on what really happens on photo shoots, and why you should never compare yourself to that model in that glossy spread.

Tips from Hostess Cupcake on how to bring back the glory days of socializing from the '50s and '60s. I lofe the Tiki Luau ideas. I think I'm becoming addicted to ChickClick.com, especially the home+craft department!

A lovely travel e-zine, directed towards girls who love to travel and aren't afraid to take risks. The current feature contains a glowing description of Arizona which made me smile. She also compliments the Twin Cities, which I was glad to hear. (Read. You know what I mean.)

Just a little bookmark for myself (I'm at school), so I can get together some notes for my essay on "Brave New World."

A website for girl (oops, I mean GRRL) motor enthusiasts. A lot of stuff about racing, cars, etc. Not my bag, but still cool!!! And the design is neato.

Also! New in the news: spacegirl.org finally conquers the .COM domain! That's right, you can now find Angela's awesome website at spacegirl.com as well as .org, and she's got a brand spankin' design! It's quite lovely, although I miss the old one...

Sadly, I am still without my own domain! I'm envious of my friends with domains! (whine, whine.) I'm still pondering getting my own, but I'd have to get a job first, so I could pay for hosting. And I'm also pondering a new design for Psianina, which would be version 3.0! I'll keep y'all up to date, so come back soon, y'hear!

Library and Information Resource Management

This is what I think I want to do. (This link is more of a note to myself, since I'm at school and can't bookmark it or email it to myself; I doubt it'd be helpful to anyone reading this! But maybe it would encourage someone to get the degree necessary to be a Library Assisant... ha ha.)

Halo Crime

Lovely, simplistic design. This artist really understands "less is beautiful," and he makes it gorgeous. He's also funny. I recommend going to his bio, and reading his page of quotes by his teacher, Mr. Locke. This guy's hilarious; I wish I had a teacher like that. I was especially interested to find that he works in a library! (Since I want to be a librarian.) He shares my love for books and libraries. Woah, I'm finding more creepy similarities as I go. IE, he made his site with Notepad (I'm a certified Notepad snob), Paint Shop Pro (but he used 5 and I have 6), and Dreambook guestbook hosting. Hmmm... But he has a domain and I only WISH I were so cool =P

By the way, I WAS going to archive this page as July/August 2000, but since I want these more recent sites to get some attention, I'll probably leave this up for part of September as well. So it may be a July/August/September 2000 archive. Oh well, you'll survive!

An awesome Tori Amos site! With plenty of multimedia to keep a Toriphile happy, from icons to wallpaper to winamp and hotbar skins, this site has it ALL! It also has cute dolls for adoption, numerous fun games, and more interactive entertainment! It's got a beautiful layout and design, and lovely colors as well. A++!

Cross-Country Or Bust

Interesting road-trip diary from New York City to Seattle. Unfortunately the article is somewhat soured by the author's stereotypical New Yorker attitude. It gives good ideas for road-trippers, however, so that's why it's recommended you take a look, even if you just skim it over.

This hilarious page contains many tips and suggestions for the wanna-be Evil Doer. I highly recommend Make Your Own Evil Plan, for those who always "wanted to come up with a great evil plan, but just never had the time or intelligence"!!!
